• Sam Rowland shooting for Oxfam in Liberia

    Bigballs director Sam Rowland has just returned from a week long trip to Liberia, with journalist and supermodel Laura Bailey who is helping raise awareness of women’s medical rights in Africa. She’s even been really nice about him on her Vogue blog, which goes into the project in more detail.

    Some great films coming up. Great for us to be part of such a wonderful project – Sam’s next stop is Laos for our Kickstarter funded Peacebomb film series.

    Bigballs were commissioned by BBC Switch’s Geoff Goodwin to deliver a project that would push Switch drama ‘The Cut’ out from Auntie’s warm embrace and into the wild west of Facebook and social media. For more information visit the project page here.

  • Richard Welsh is BB’s Head of Development

    Ex Iris, Endemol, RDF and Shine creative / producer Richard Welsh is now head of development at Bigballs, where he’ll be developing projects for brands and agencies as well as creating new IP owned properties. Last year he created and exec-produced the BAFTA nominated drama Who Killed Summer? and almost died making it. That’s pretty much the news.
