Played on its own dedicated website and across social networks, I AM PLAYR mixes up first person perspective gameplay, interactive video and storytelling through different media to create a unique game experience and is the first in a planned series of games.
I AM PLAYR is now 8 weeks out of open beta and has recently passed 400,000 active users, adding thousands of new users every week. Other incredible stats include over 250,000 sales of virtual Nike boots and 1,000,000 plus cans of Red Bull.
It is the first game produced by We R Interactive, founded by Bigballs, Dave Rose the ex-development director of Eidos (Championship Manager, Lara Croft) and Oli Madgett, an old friend of Bigballs and ex-ITV interactive commissioner. Investors include Bigballs Chairman Richard Dale, Peter Mead (Chairman Abbott Mead Vickers), Fru Hazlitt (ITV Commercial Director), Eric Felner (Chairman Working Title Films) and Elio Leoni-Sceti (ex CEO EMI Music).
